Search Terms
A name, place, or other detail entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search. Montgomery County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its collection and handling after a query is submitted.
Messages Sent Directly
An email or contact-form message may include the sender’s address, name, and any details placed in the message. That information is retained as needed to review and answer the request. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Information
Basic technical records may be created when a page loads. They help measure use, diagnose faults, and protect the service. Those records can include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held by the site
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information that is eligible for removal
- Opt out of processing where an opt-out right applies
These requests concern information held by this private site. Maryland Public Information Act records maintained by Montgomery County DOCR or DPSCS remain with those agencies and are governed by General Provisions Article, Title 4 and other applicable restrictions.

This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A new version becomes effective when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
