Why This Resource Exists
Maryland provides public access to many correctional and court records, but access is divided among several custodians. Montgomery County DOCR keeps county booking and release records. Maryland DPSCS handles state commitments and sentence calculations. The Judiciary supplies the order and disposition, while parole and probation offices manage many forms of supervision after release. A federal sentence belongs in the BOP system, and immigration custody uses a separate federal locator. We bring those distinctions, official links, and request steps together so a reader can follow the system that actually held the person.
